This month we are shaking off a loooong winter with our "March Madness" Sale! The Mamas are currently seeking leads on affordable or donated sewing dress forms.  We are in full production with springtime dresses and find ourselves at a liability with our current dress form. Our March Calendar is full of vintage fabric fun.  EcoSew: dream-pillows, potholders and seventies-style knot-work magic "let's learn macrame!" Eco-fashionistas can learn to create fresh new looks for Spring with our Sewing workshops, create tapered-leg "skinny jeans", design your own Apron, or alter your existing clothes to fit your unique body! The Mamas are excited to announce the beginnings of an American Sewing Guild Chapter here in Burlington, Vermont. Past partnerships have included aprons for Samosaman and aprons, hats & baguette bags for August First Bakery all created from sustainable and eco-friendly textiles. We are thrilled to announce a partnership with Naomi & Bill Maglaris owners of several Vermont diners, including Henry's (A Burlington Landmark)& Arcadia (formally Parkway)and their newest adventure, the Apollo diner, opening in Milton this Spring. The Mamas are currently hard at work sewing up waitress uniforms in violet for the Parkway. Look for our locally designed and manufactured uniforms coming soon to a diner near you. Remember: Mama always says "tip your waitresses well and you'll always have a hot cup of coffee with a smile"     Alter-Nation! Skill Building = Green Wardrobes Attention Eco-Fashionistas! The lovely and talented Ms Becca Mack from the Old North End's very own Flying Hen Studio, is back this month to teach her popular Alterations class Sewing "A Better Fit" Thursday, 3/25 2-4pm Bring in some not-quite-right, but loved, items from your closet and learn some crafty techniques to transform your wardrobe while celebrate your body.
